Case Study: Relocating a Bath business and upgrading all IT equipment

ONFINITY enjoyed implementing this project for a Bath-based training centre, since it required a large variety of equipment: office relocation, broadband move, additional infrastructure cabling, switch upgrades, managed Wi-Fi with guest and office access, a brand new IT suite, projectors and even a server repair. During August 2015, we successfully assisted this training business with their relocation.

The requirements:
Some of the businesses existing equipment needed to be safely relocated and combined with new technology. The requirements were simple: a faster network, with more flexibility and connectivity options. Two rooms were required with desks for delegates and projectors for tutors, and one IT suite needed a space-saving upgrade with classroom monitoring software. Tutors also wanted remote access from home enabled to the office.

The installation:
The move and installation went to plan and the Tutors couldn’t wait to begin training on the new equipment. We even managed to install free, powerful classroom monitoring software so that the Tutors can control and lockout the delegates computers.

Case Study: Providing the complete IT package for a brand new school building in BANES

ONFINITY were delighted to be awarded this project for a primary school in Bath, there is nothing we love more than being handed a blank canvas to plan and provide the latest technology for. During August 2015, we provided a brand new school building with IT equipment, ready for the start of term in September.

The requirements:

A new purpose-built school building with 5 classrooms required various interactive whiteboards and touchscreens, all different to suit the different ages of pupils. The building also required full Wi-Fi coverage, to connect with a managed Wi-Fi solution that we had implemented throughout the schools existing site earlier in the year. Network switches were required to integrate with the rest of the schools infrastructure. The teachers required laptops and being a new building, everything had to look.. Smart!

The installation:

This project required a few individuals from our team, we had 3 days to implement (a tight deadline since the building was handed over just before the start of term), had to be within a budget, and needed to be neatly finished. Once finished, we made sure that we were on-site to demonstrate how everything worked to the teaching staff on the first day back. We always like to provide training and advice on the technology that we provide.

The finished technology:

We were pleased with the look of this project, since the building was brand new, the modern design and furnishings of the classrooms really mixed well with the latest technology installed.
